The Organising Committee of the World Aquatics Championships - Fukuoka 2023
On 31 January 2016, it was decided at the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics) Bureau meeting that the 19th FINA World championships would be held in Fukuoka.
On 4 September 2018, the Japan Swimming Federation and Fukuoka, the host city of the Championships, established the Organising Committee of the 19th FINA World championships 2022 Fukuoka, comprised of representatives from the business and sports communities and public administration sectors.
Following the change of Fédération Internationale de Natation’s (FINA) name to World Aquatics in December 2022, the Organising Committee of the 19th FINA World championships 2022 Fukuoka changed its name to the Organising Committee of the World Aquatics Championships – Fukuoka 2023.
The Organising Committee prepares for and operates the World Aquatics Championships - Fukuoka 2023 and the World Aquatics Masters Championships - Kyushu 2023 to make both events a success.
